This CANNOT be how Ghana goes on!!!!!

I just watched this shocking video on Facebook and was seriously saddened and disturbed at what I witnessed. The story is that a young girl had been stripped, beaten up and molested by a group of Ghanaian students at the Legon campus, University of Ghana.  It is said that this silly girl  was caught stealing a laptop. Obviously people will be very angry at her bravery and galls but they stripped her butt naked in order to shame her. To make things even more twisted they then opened her legs wide and if you watch the video you will see that some of the guys who probably ain't seen a woman naked like that before were inserting their fingers into her ladylove!!!!! After they had finished molesting the poor girl, and they had their fun, they then handed her over to the law for further punishment.
So I am in two minds about this whole fiasco. My mother always said, "If you want people to respect you, respect yourself." In other words, if you don't want to give people a reason to disrespect you, don't put your self in the position that will cause you to respect yourself. And I am very sorry!!! But stealing.......is a very disrespectful thing to do to yourself and your victim.
"No one drives a child to grow big teeth, as long as the child grows the lips to cover them", Yes another wise saying from the mother. If she was going to become Ghana's hottest arm robber, she no fih get sense, carry leg well, make them no catch her??!!! Mugu!! STUPID GIRL!! Shay she want attention?!!
On the other hand, the students which did this to her are absolute perverted BRUTES!!!! Who would have thought this kind of stuff happened in Ghana!! Their actions are in no way justified and I pray that it should not go unpunished!! It is one thing to slap her small, make she get sense!! But they took it to another level by mass sexually molesting her. They might as well have gang raped her.
For University students, do they not have mothers, sisters? Will they not have daughters one day? Did they each walk away, smiling and smelling their fingers? I bet you there was that one nasty one that licked his fingers too, or didn't wash his fingers before he went back to his banku and peanut butter soup! I can't imagine how she, her family and friends are feeling after this event. But Lord knows, I will not be coming out or the safety of my home unless I was moving countries.
My other question is: If it had been a guy caught stealing, would they have done the same thing to him? Does this event shed light on the continuous abuse women face in different forms everyday? Do you think the Ghanian law will act on the perverseness of the girl's attackers?

The saddest thing is that, this doesn't just happen in Ghana or just Africa This indeed is a world phenomenon and I am wondering when exactly is it going to stop?

  6. Someone needs to do something about the situation there. Stop all the raping and violence. For a frikin laptop? Man. If that were my daughter there would be a bunch of missing students.

  7. This is wrong in this day and age!
No feminist sentiments here. If it was a guy thief we would be reading his obituary. She got it easy. Women always get it easy.
Its time we change for the sake of change. Period.
